Why We Write

glamorous. fabulous. charming. fun. flirty. elegant. exciting. delicate. whimsical. wonderful....:

It’s February.  Also known as the time when most people give up their New Year’s Resolutions.  Anyone out there who has?  *awkwardly raises hand*  And if one of those was a writing goal, you’re in the same boat as I am.

So, encouragement time.  Here’s to lots of writing in 2017.  (A little late, but hey, it’s something.)

We write to make someone laugh.

We write to impact a person.

We write to show raw emotion.

We write to give strength.

unevxntful: my blog will make you smile:

We write to give hope.

We write to craft a story that will make people forget about their current situation.

We write to show something close to us.

We write to transport people to new worlds.

We write to make people fall in love with pretend people.  (Okay, we’re heartbreakers, but some people like that.)

We write to show good.

We write to change people’s lives.

We write to create a place of safety.  A story doesn’t change, it’s a real place that you can always escape into.

We write to create friendships.  (Don’t tell me that no one has ever made friends over fandoms.  It’s real.)

Beautiful and Colorful Instagrams by Steve Zeinner #inspiration #photography:

We write to make someone cry at death, to show how precious life really is.

We write to inspire.

Why do you write?  (besides risking going mad if you can’t get your thoughts out…)
