pinterest final redo
Anybody heard of Pinterest?  I try not to spend my whole life on the site.  It’s seriously addictive.  I primarily began using it for writing.  Why Pinterest, you ask.  Isn’t that only for clothing and food?  I’m here to tell you that Pinterest is amaze for writing.  No this isn’t an advertisement for my Pinterest account, even though I might use some examples and I wouldn’t mind the followers.  😛

Worldbuilding Questions

world-building-questions

*claps hands gleefully*  This is one of my favorite topics.  Yeesh, even if you’re not a writer, keep reading.  My joy and excitement alone are amazing.

Let’s talk worldbuilding.  My computer still underlines it with red squiggles, but worldbuilding is a word in my book.  What’s worldbuilding?  Basically, building a world.  Rocket science, I know.  Oh, but it’s so much fun.  You take a flat piece of earth, and make it into an amazing world.  That’s how I started writing, actually.  I made up an entire imaginary world in my head while doing the dishes, and it grew, and grew, and grew some Continue reading

Babysitting the Hacker- A Crazy Short Story

So of course you’ll click the button, right? —->>> Continue reading

I took this (short) interesting quiz of sorts.  I’m a pretty big fan of The Rebelution, and they have some good articles, so you should check them out.  Back to the topic, I took this quiz they offered called the WriterScore (free).  It was helpful for me to figure out where I was lacking.  The result categories are: Continue reading

Off Track- Short Story

off-track-pic

Well, well, well.  Another short story.  Actually, it’s more of a flash-fiction piece, but the shortness worked well for this story.  So, enjoy, and tell me what you thought in the comments below! 😀  (Edit:  So I didn’t realize how similar this was to the video short, also titled Off Track (whoops.)  Go watch the cool movie, then read. 🙂 I definitely don’t mean to plagiarize!!!!) Writing Weapons: Info About the Thrown Weapons

Shale quickly wrestles the dagger out of my hand and throws it so it sticks into a nearby tree. I gape at him. “That was rude!”: Sometimes, deciding what weapons your character is going to use can be hard work.  And, as if deciding wasn’t bad enough, you then have to think about how it will correlate in later fight scenes!

I live with brothers, and an archer dad. (Post about writing archery coming later!)  We have quite a collection of “boy toys”and while I don’t traipse around in the woods shooting arrows much, I do know a thing or two about weapons. Continue reading
